Yesterday while browsing Old Navy, I found some Christmas ornaments that my mother would love. They were on clearance for $2.99 with an additional 50% off. I got them for $1.50. Hubby and I thought it would be great to start picking up gifts for next years Christmas instead of waiting till the last minute. I know a lot of you already do this, but it does make a lot of sense. By doing it this way, you can find all sorts of good deals and clearance items that others would like. OF course, once you buy the item, make sure to label who it is too and keep a list of items purchased somewhere so that you don’t purchase the same thing twice. If it is something that can be returnable, make sure to tape the receipt to it and then store all the items together. That way, you can just get out the Christmas present box and wrap them all together. What a great idea!
Good Idea – Cooking Garbage Bag November 3, 2006
When I am cooking and making dinner I take a grocery bag and sit it on my counter. Any garbage or cut up ends of veggies or empty bags get put into the grocery bag as I am going along. Then at the end, I just throw the whole bag away.
It saves me from having to go to the trash can every 5 minutes and it makes clean up a breeze!
Club Cards – Good Idea October 26, 2006

This is a great tip for keeping all of those club card and discount key cards together. I purchased a small key ring and put all of the cards on it. It has really come in handy having them on a separate key ring. It is small and easy enough to leave in your purse. It is amazing how many of these things you can have. It seems like every store is offering them now and you have to have one to take advantage of the discounts and savings.
